Starting Out
Hello, Laura,
Well, you're not asking much are you? I know you posted on 3rd Jan so I'm sorry that you are only now getting a reply. So, to try and reply to your questions.
Your camera: For max versatility you'll need interchangeable lenses and a sensor capable of producing decent-sized images. Vague, I know but I know nothing about your intended output. If your camera can produce sharp A3 you should be ok.
Your market: There are no easy ways into any market. You'll need hard work, technique, market research and blind perseverance.
Advertising: Again, all depends on your intended output, so I can't help you much.
I hope I haven't put you off, and you might well get other replies which contradict me. Posts on this forum are reliable and helpful, I find, so take note.
Good Luck.
Andy.

As the title suggests, I am wanting some help on starting out.
I am only 17 but feel that with my creativity about to burst and if i pushed myself, I could really do well.
So just a few questions really...
-What camera is a good starting point? I currently have a Fujifilm Finepix S9600.
-What area of photography is easiest to get into?
-Where is best to advertise myself?
I got into photography at college and recieved straight A's for my work. Other than that I have only done photoshoots for my friends and family.
Any information you all could give me would be brilliant and much appreciated :)
Many thanks,
Laura
