advice needed

My name is Robert, I have always loved photography but it was only ever a hobby. Until recently I was in the Royal Air Force until i left to become a manager for a large retail company.
I would like to make my hobby into a career and seek any advice that can be given, as well as any chances to gain some more experience.

First, keep your current job. Hone your photographic skills. Consider part-time training courses aimed at commercial photography. Study published work. Refine your thoughts on which area of photography is likely to be most rewarding, both financially (as a career) and from a personal point of view.

Be aware that in the current financial climate even experienced photographers are having to work extra hard to make a living. I recommend you consider it a part-time job, at least until you gain experience and credibility.

Would appreciate all advice that can be given on the SSD in laptops please.
