A Long Exposure: 100 Years of Guardian Photography

The Guardian newspaper has celebrated 100 years of Photo-journalism, having employed it's first staff photographer, Walter Doughty, in 1908.
An exhibition of his, and the six Manchester photographers who followed in his footsteps, is running at The Lowry until 1st March 2009 while over
on the Guardian website, Denis Thorpe, present encumbant and curator of the exhibition, and Northern Editor Martin Wainwright discuss some of the exhibition images taken over the last century.
