Digital Railroad has an offer from an undiclosed source to buy assets

blo Management, the firm handling the wind up of Digital Railroad, have announced that they are in receipt of a letter of intent from an un-disclosed buyer to purchase Digital Railroad, but "specifically its hardware and application software used to store and retrieve images"
It assures that, although inaccessible, image files would be preserved and that "after the completion of an asset purchase agreement, the acquiring company will contact owners of the images to determine their disopsition" The company also "expresses the desire to continue providing services to DRR members and customers with as little disruption as possible"
Meanwhile, access to archives is still set to go offline at midnight EST on 31st October.
